Message from the Principal

Bangladesh is a densely populated small poor country. Health is one of the basic needs for the people. Healthy people are the active people and can contribute the country’s economic and social development directly and indirectly. Health man power is very scare in comparison with the people. So the effectiveness of health care service institute, medical educational institute is very much required. Previously Medical educational institutions were a few in numbers and were at the main city. So the number of health man power production was not sufficient and the people in the villages were not aware about this technical education and services provided by them. Now the government has increased the number of institutes and gives emphasis to establish these kinds of institutes at peripheral level. To produce sufficient trained health man power and provide health care service to grass root level the government has increased the number of institution and gives emphasis to establish medical educational institution at peripheral level.
TMSS is a non-government social developmental organization working in the rural area for upliftment of socioeconomic condition of poor people especially the woman. TMSS implements Comprehensive Development Projects. Health Education and Microcredit (HEM) is the model package program of TMSS. TMSS is running Primary and Secondary health care programs, Medical Educational Institutes through TMSS Health Sector. 58 sub-clinics for primary health care services, 750 bed Rafatullah Community Hospital (upgrading with 1000 bed hospital), the teaching hospital for the students of TMSS Medical College (TMC), TMSS Nursing College (TNC), TMSS Medical Assistant Training School (TMATS), TMSS Medical Technology Institute (TMTI), TMSS Medical Institute of Research & Technology (TMIRT), Fortune Institute of Medical Technology & MATS, Mohasthan Medical Assistant Training School (MMATS), Morning Sun Medical Assistant Training School (MSMATS), TMSS Feroza Begum Ayurvedic-Unani Medical College & Hospital (TFAUMCH), TMSS Community Paramedic Institute (TCPI), Rangpur Community Paramedic Institute (RCPI), TMSS Masuda Maternity Hospital (TMMH) are the major programs of TMSS Health Sector. TMSS started the TMTI on 2008 to build well skilled and friendly health Workers like medical technologists laboratory, Dentistry, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy and medical assistant OT and IC.

Overview

TMSS Community Paramedic Institute was established in 2010 at Baghopara, Gokul, Bogra keeping in view the aim and objectives of TMSS of producing trained Community. Recently it is shifted near to the campus of TMSS Foundation Office. TCPI is housed in a separate building with necessary modern & basic facilities. National Institute for Population Research and Training (NIPORT) accorded necessary approval for its eventual operation under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and as an affiliate of the Bangladesh Nursing Council (BNC). Training Courses conducted by the Institute that are evaluated under the rules and regulations provided by NIPORT and can be changed or re-arranged, if necessary, after three years of evaluation. Extra course module can be introduced with ongoing approved curriculum and it must be documented properly. The Certificate of the Paramedic Course is provided by Bangladesh Nursing Council.

Objective

To develop and produce skilled and qualified Community Paramedics as medical technical persons to serve the people/patients in need.
To facilitate skilled and qualified Paramedics graduation as efficient Health Workers getting job home and abroad.
To motivate them in positive health care support.
To augment the health status of remote rural people.
To contribute to national economy through unemployment eradication measures.
