Smile Train RCH Cleft Project

Introduction :

TMSS has been dedicated to running the "Smile Train RCH Cleft Project" at Rafatullah Community Hospital since its inception on July 1, 2010. This noble initiative aims to restore the smiles of underprivileged patients afflicted with cleft lip and palate through complimentary reconstructive surgeries, thereby facilitating their smooth reintegration into society. The hospital has been instrumental in transforming lives through complimentary life-altering surgeries. Additionally, it has established continuous educational initiatives aimed at enhancing the skills of medical professionals in the field of reconstructive surgery. These efforts are bolstered by the support of Smile Train Inc., an internationally acclaimed charity based in New York, USA, dedicated to this noble cause. The enduring partnership between TMSS and Smile Train Inc. has led to the successful completion of six project phases, with the recent renewal of their collaboration ensuring the continuation of this impactful work through the seventh phase, spanning from January 1, 2023, to December 31, 2024.

Activies:

1. Provision of medical service and assistance to the Children and Patients born with Cleft lip and Palates, especially targeting the poor community.
2. To assist and support underprivileged children born with cleft lip and palate.
3. To harbor a positive approach and sympathetic mindset in dealing with persons with physical disability.
4. To help the disabled people live in society like able-bodied persons.
5. To boost human resources development, rural employment generation, and agricultural resources development.
